Meet Our Speech Pathologists

Dr. Kayla, SLPD, M.S CCC-SLP is the founder of Communicate With Me, Speech Therapy LLC. Kayla has experience working with both children and adults. She has served in home settings, skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, public and private schools, and private practices. Kayla received her bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders from Southern Connecticut State University and her master's degree from Sacred Heart University.

 

Kayla is passionate about collaborating with family members, caregivers and other professionals that are a part of the client’s team in order to provide the best quality of care for the individual. She is a strong believer in client centered and individualized care. Kayla is an advocate for enhancing communication in all forms.

Maegan, M.S. CCC-SLP is a licensed speech-language pathologist with over five years of experience specializing in pediatric care. She’s passionate about helping young children and their families grow through every stage of communication.

​

Maegan earned her master’s degree from Duquesne University and believes in family-centered, compassionate therapy that empowers both children and caregivers. Outside the clinic, she loves spending time with her husband, two kids, and their dogs—and proudly calls motherhood her favorite adventure yet.

Alexandra, M.S. CCC-SLP graduated with a Master’s degree from Sacred Heart University in May 2025. Since then, she has dedicated herself to the field of early intervention, where she has been honing her clinical skills and expanding her expertise through diverse case exposure with CWM. As she embraces new challenges and continues her professional growth, she is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of those she serves. Outside of work, Ally enjoys playing soccer, running, and attending concerts with friends. She is excited to contribute to the team and looks forward to fostering meaningful connections within the community.

Elise, M.S. CCC-SLP is a speech language pathologist. She's spent time in both skilled nursing facilities as well as in the school setting! Elise has a passion for helping kids to learn how to communicate through play.

 

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time and going on adventures with her daughter and husband and their two Golden Retrievers!

Alyssa, M.S. CF SLP received both her bachelors and masters degrees from Southern Connecticut State University. As an SLP, Alyssa strives to help people of all ages find their voices and feel confident in their abilities to communicate.

 

In her free time, she enjoys being outside with her dogs (Abby and Millie), spending time with her family and friends, jet skiing, and playing volleyball! She is very excited to be a part of the CWM family!

Nicole, M.S. CCC-SLP is a speech-language pathologist certified by ASHA. She earned her master’s degree from Southern Connecticut State University and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut. Currently, she works at a K-5 elementary school, supporting children with a variety of communication needs. In her free time, Nicole enjoys going to the gym, playing pickleball, and spending time with her family and friends.

Victoria, M.S. CCC-SLP holds a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Southern Connecticut State University.  She currently works within the public school system and enjoys helping individuals develop a love for learning while working towards their communication goals. Outside of work, she likes playing tennis, reading, and, keeping up with Taylor Swift. Victoria is excited to meet and collaborate with the families at Communicate with Me!

Vanessa, M.S. CCC-SLP is an ASHA certified and CT state licensed speech-language pathologist who received her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Southern Connecticut State University. She provides individualized services to children with language disorders, communication delays, articulation/phonological disorders, fluency disorders, social communication disorders, voice disorders and feeding/swallowing disorders. Additionally, Vanessa has special interests in Gestalt Language Processing, early intervention, and a play-based approach to therapy. Vanessa's aim is to create lifelong connections with her clients and caregivers, as she employs a family-centered approach to speech and language intervention. Vanessa is passionate about educating and collaborating with caregivers to ultimately help her patients achieve their goals. She strives to expand her clinical knowledge, engage in interdisciplinary collaboration and caregiver education and training, and provide home carryover strategies. In her free time, Vanessa enjoys going on walks with her husband, spending time with family and friends, and trying different restaurants around Connecticut.

Kylie, M.S. CCC-SLP is a speech-language pathologist who earned her bachelors degree from Southern Connecticut State University and her master’s degree from Sacred Heart University. She works full time at Hospital for Special Care working across the Autism Center’s outpatient and inpatient units, as well as the long-term care pediatric unit. Kylie has experience working with individuals across the lifespan, with a special passion for supporting infants with dysphagia and pediatric feeding disorders.

 

Outside of work, Kylie enjoys spending time outdoors—whether at the beach, paddleboarding, hiking, or enjoying fresh ice cream. A fun fact about Kylie: she has visited four of the Hawaiian Islands! She is so excited to join and collaborate with the CWM team! 

Paulina M.S. CCC-SLP is a speech-language pathologist who earned her master’s degree from Southern Connecticut State University. She currently works as a full-time SLP in an elementary school; however, her experience spans a wide age range, from preschoolers to adults. Paulina is passionate about supporting communication skills in an individualized and functional approach. She is a dedicated therapist who values the importance of family-centered care to help individuals grow their communication skills both inside and outside of their speech therapy sessions. In her free time, Paulina enjoys reading the latest novels, walking her dog, taking a Zumba class or two, and spending time with family and friends.

Rachel M.S. CCC-SLP is a speech-language pathologist, who earned her bachelor’s degree in speech-language hearing sciences from University of Connecticut and master’s degree in speech-language pathology from Southern Connecticut State University.

In addition to her work at CWM, Rachel works full time at a pediatric children’s hospital, working in both outpatient and inpatient settings with children who have a variety of communication and feeding/swallowing disorders. Rachel is skilled in infant and pediatric dysphagia and feeding disorders, with years of experience working with children, as young as a few days old, with a variety of medical complexities and feeding concerns. Rachel is also passionate about supporting children’s functional communication skills through play. She provides speech therapy through a neurodiversity-affirming lens, with an approach that values total communication—recognizing and celebrating verbal speech, AAC, sign language, gestures, and other modalities as valid forms of communication.
 

In her free time Rachel enjoys cooking, taking Pilates classes, playing with her dog Milo, and going to
concerts with her husband.

Erin, M.S. CCC-SLP is a dedicated ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist, having earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees at Southern Connecticut State University. Currently, she serves as a full-time SLP at an elementary school, focusing on enhancing speech and language skills for students in grades K-5. Erin's passion lies in working with children of all ages, beginning from the early stages of language development and guiding them through the journey of communication exploration. Outside of her professional role, Erin enjoys swimming, teaching swim lessons, and enjoying her time with her family and friends. Her commitment to empowering children extends beyond the classroom, as she seeks to make a positive impact both in and out of her SLP hat.

Alexis M.S. CCC-SLP earned her Master’s in Speech Language Pathology at Southern Connecticut State University in 2022. As a dedicated speech-language pathologist, Alexis thrives on empowering individuals of all ages to communicate effectively and confidently. She loves fostering connections while providing education to help others everyday. During the day, Alexis works as a full-time SLP in the public school system, working with students from preschool to 5th grade. Outside of work, Alexis loves enjoying the outdoors, reading (and adding to her ever growing book collection), and making the most of even the most ordinary days with her family and friends. She is so excited to join the CWM family!

Katie, M.S., CCC-SLP earned her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Sacred Heart University. With nearly 10 years of experience, she has worked with clients across the lifespan—from early intervention in the home setting to adults with intellectual disabilities and neurological conditions.

Katie is certified in Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) and is BCAT certified. In addition, she has served as both a clinical instructor and clinical fellowship supervisor for numerous students and new clinicians.  She is passionate about supporting social communication development and receptive/expressive language skills across all ages. Katie has a love for including a creative, individualized approach to therapy, helping her clients grow while making the process engaging, playful, and fun. Her enthusiasm for creative intervention has also led her to explore animal-assisted therapy with her dog, Teaky, particularly in elder-care settings.

Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time with her family including her husband,dog and many nieces.  She also enjoys traveling, crafting, sewing, and hiking.

Meet Our Occupational Therapists

Rachel M.S. OTR/L, is the Head Occupational Therapist at Communicate With Me. She is the Lead Occupational Therapist at Communicate With Me. She has experience working with both children and adults across a variety of settings, including private practices, skilled nursing facilities, public schools, and homecare. Rachel earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Science, minoring in Psychology, as well as her master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, from Sacred Heart University.

 

With over five years of experience, Rachel is well-versed in pediatric care, which has been her passion for many years. She enjoys collaborating with other disciplines to provide the best possible support for her clients and help them reach their goals. Outside of the clinic, Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She also loves shopping and trying new Italian restaurants.

Jessica COTA/L is an NBCOT certified and state licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant and earned my degree from Goodwin University. She's always had a deep sense of empathy for others and a curiosity to understand and connect rather than judge. She values holistic, client-first care that focuses on the “able,” not the label.

 

In her free time, Jessica enjoys exploring coffee shops and restaurants with her boyfriend, traveling, listening to all kinds of music, family time, and a good pampering session. Jessica is so grateful to be among a team of such talented and passionate clinicians at CWM!

Jared, MBA is the Chief Finance & Operations Officer & Co-Founder at Communicate With Me, where he leads the organization's operational & finance functions with a passion for excellence and efficiency. Jared received his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Southern Connecticut State University and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role, ensuring the day-to-day operations run smoothly. In his free time, Jared enjoys playing pickleball, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.

Joshua is the Chief Administrative Officer at Communicate With Me, where he excels in client and employee satisfaction, creating a warm and welcoming environment for all. Joshua bridges the gap between providers, clients and families, ensuring that everyone is informed and supported throughout their journey with us. Dedicated to helping others, Joshua's passion shines through in everything he does! In his free time, Joshua enjoys going on hikes with his dogs, traveling, event planning and spending quality time with his friends and family.

Lindsey is a Texas native with an Associates Degree in Healthcare Administration and a decade of experience in healthcare billing. She is passionate about assisting families with their administrative needs in the healthcare industry. During her free time she loves hiking with her golden retriever, Finn, planting, delving into embroidery projects, and spending time with her niece and nephews.

Alyssa is the Clinical Manager at Communicate With Me, where she excels in new client onboarding and scheduling. With her strong leadership skills and dedication to inclusivity, Alyssa is an ideal clinical manager. Alyssa holds a Masters degree in Recreational Therapy and is DIRFloortime® certified. She is also an author of the children's book, The Moose on the Loose. In her free time, Alyssa enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband, traveling, writing poetry, and cooking.

Emma is a senior at Quinnipiac University majoring in psychology with a concentration in applied clinical science. She plans to attend graduate school for speech-language pathology and is passionate about learning all she can about the field. Emma is very excited about her future career as an SLP! In her free time, she enjoys reading, going on walks, and spending quality time with her friends and family.

Kaylee is a senior at Southern Connecticut State University majoring in Communication Disorders and minoring in Psychology. She is passionate about helping individuals overcome communication challenges and is pursuing a career in speech-language pathology. Her academic journey has been complemented by hands-on experience, most notably through my internship at Communicate With Me! She gained exposure to speech therapy, working closely with speech pathologists and occupational therapists. She had the opportunity to assist with diagnostic evaluations, co-treatment sessions, and learn about a wide range of therapeutic approaches. Her experience at Communicate With Me, solidified her commitment to the field of speech therapy, helping her realize the profound impact she can have on individuals’ lives. With a focus on pediatric care and a dedication to evidence-based practice, she is excited to continue her journey in speech-language pathology, advocating for the importance of communication in every child’s development

Sarah, M.Ed, M.S in Special Education Received her master’s degree in elementary education and special education at Quinnipiac University. She currently works as a full time special education teacher at a public middle school. She works with a range of students with different learning disabilities and enjoys supporting them to reach their highest potential. Outside of work, she enjoys spending as much time as possible with her growing family.
